Consultation
To get things started on the right foot, Jim Walker will sit down with you to discuss all the needs, goals, budgets, and options that are available. It is during this consultation that the groundwork for a successful office installation takes place.
Jim will take the time to make certain he understands your needs by going over the following topics:
- Meet with the client to discuss requirements and scope of project.
- Determine furniture requirements based on client's needs and functions.
- Review scope of the project.
- Develop preliminary budget guidelines.
- Explore financial alternatives.
- Final selection of products.
- Establish final budget for approval.
Planning & Design
When planning the project, Jim will work with you to address all the issues covered in the consultation and ensure that together you are able to devise a successful plan. The planning process includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Develop a floor plan to meet the needs and requirements of the client
- Provide a productive and functional work environment.
- Color and texture coordination.
- CAD and GIZA Drawings.
- Determine furniture and manufacturers appropriate to meet client's requirements, image, and budget.
- Develop furniture standards program if applicable.
- Prepare specifications of furniture according to approved furniture plan, including fabrics and finishes, as required.
- Assist in analyzing functional needs.
- Assist in developing typical workstations.
- Assist in developing preliminary working plans.
- Review with designers and end users working plans and drawings.
- Assist in the development of final plans and drawings.
- Assist in preparation of color and materials package.
- Review color and materials package, final plans and installation drawings.
Purchasing
Once a favorable plan has been devised, the purchasing phase can begin. Jim will work with you to ensure the best prices for chosen products are delivered and that reliable vendors are used. The purchasing phase will include the following:
- Client approval of final pricing and quantity on all orders.
- Establish installation schedule.
- Review terms and conditions.
- Computer order entry.
- Route shipments most efficient way.
- Verify accuracy of all acknowledgements.
- Alert client of any changes in schedule.
Delivery
Jim Walker and Washington Workplace will take care of all the delivery logistics on your behalf. Our years of experience will truly pay-off when we ensure a safe and timely delivery of your new office furniture and decor. Our delivery services include but are not limited to the following:
- Receive product from manufacturers in our facility.
- Local pick-up, if required.
- Freight claim management as needed.
- Transport to job site.
- Uncrate, stage, and remove packaging.
- Install and place all items.
- Do a final walk through with clients and installers to assure client satisfaction.
